The excursion program is ready for registration, which will take place in the afternoon of Wednesday, July 1, starting at 2:30pm. Two routes as well as an alternative are offered:
Route 1 - “New Face of Guangzhou”
Experience the modern vibrancy and innovative landmarks of Guangzhou.
14:30 – Depart from venue - Guangzhou Yuexiu International Congress Center;
14:30–15:15 – Take a coach to Guangdong Museum;
15:15–17:00 – Visit Guangdong Museum;
17:00–17:30 – Visit Huacheng Square and Haixinsha Island;
17:30–18:00 – Take a coach to Dashatou Pier;
18:00–20:30 – Take Pearl River cruise and have cruise dinner;
20:30–21:00 – Take a coach back to Dongfang Hotel or China Hotel.
Route 2 - “Flavor of Old Guangzhou”
Immerse in the historic and culture heritages and taste local traditions of Guangzhou.
14:30 – Depart from venue - Guangzhou Yuexiu International Congress Center;
14:30–15:15 – Take a coach to Wenta Pier;
15:15–16:00 – Take a boat trip on Lizhiwan Stream;
16:00–17:45 – Visit Yongqing Lane and Cantonese Opera Art Museum;
17:45–18:00 – Take a walk to Guangzhou Restaurant which is also the Cantonese Cuisine Museum;
18:00–19:30 – Visit the Restaurant / Museum and have dinner;
19:30–20:00 – Take a coach back to Dongfang Hotel or China Hotel.
Alternative, free-of-charge, route - "Sun Yat-sen University"
Guangzhou South Campus, nestled beside the Pearl River, showcases its distinct red bricks and green tiles while being surrounded by vibrant foliage. The historic campus stands as a testament to the centennial spirit and cultural heritage of Sun Yat-sen University.

As a major local organizing Institute of ISIT 2026, we are pleased to make the reservation for a tour of the historic Guangzhou South Campus of Sun Yat-sen University for conference attendees. If you are interested, please email Sue ([email protected]) by June 22, providing your full name and contact phone number.
The visit is self-catering. You will be provided an entrance permit upon registration of ISIT 2026. You can reach the campus via metro Line 8 – Sun Yat-sen University Station or Line 10 – Binjiang East Road Station, or taxi.
Rate and Eligibility (Route A and Route B):
- Attendees who have registered and paid with one of the following categories –IT Society Member / Student Member, IEEE Member / Student Member, IEEE Life Member, Non‑Member / Non‑Member Student – may join either excursion route at the subsidized rate of US$15 (approx. RMB 100). The remaining cost of the excursion will be covered by the organizing committee.
- Only the registration types listed above qualify for the special offer. Regular and extra person rate is US$38 (approx. RMB 260).
- If you have already registered but have not yet paid your main conference registration fee, please do so as soon as possible by following the instructions in your order, to ensure your participation eligibility and to benefit from the special rate.
Invoice / Receipt
All excursion fees (whether at the subsidized or full rate) will be collected by ISIT 2026 PCO - Guangzhou KEO Information Technology Co., Ltd. Based on your request, the company can issue either a Chinese official tax receipt (Fapiao) or an English Invoice.
