We are pleased to announce travel grants to partially subsidize travel costs of selected student co-authors of papers accepted for presentation at ISIT 2026.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for an ISIT 2026 Student Travel Grant, the applicant must be:
- A full-time student in an accredited programme at an institution of higher learning or a PhD holder who graduated within the last three years (as of 28 June 2026)
- A co-author of an accepted ISIT 2026 paper with a final version uploaded
- Having completed an ISIT registration by May 1, 2026
Application Priority
First preference will be given to:
- First author students (or second if they are those presenting the paper)
- Under-represented groups (e.g., people with disability, women, minorities, undergraduate students, masters' students and people from locations where travel funds are limited)
- Students who have completed the ISIT registration by the travel grant application deadline of May 1, 2026
Student authors from all other groups will be given second preference.
Application Process
The application process consists of two parts:
- Application Form:
- Complete the application Google Form here
- Provide your contact information and academic details
- Enter your advisor's email address. PhD holders should enter a recommender's email address. The recommender can be a faculty member in the author list (in case irrelevant, their senior line manager).
- Include ISIT 2026 paper information (paper number, title, co-authors)
- Provide an estimate of travel expenses (airfare, hotel, and conference registration)
- Advisor/Recommender Confirmation Form:
- Advisors will complete a separate Google Form here
- Must confirm the student's full-time status and good academic standing
- Must commit to covering the student's travel costs in excess of the travel grant
- Enter their email address to match with the student's application
- PhD holders should ask their recommenders to fill the same Google form here to indicate their support
Important Notes:
- Both applicant and advisor/recommender forms must be submitted for an application to be considered complete
