Call for Workshops

ISIT 2026 plans to hold in-person workshops. Workshops provide an informal and interactive forum for participants to meet and discuss emerging research topics. The ISIT 2026 Workshop co-chairs particularly encourage submitting proposals that cut across disciplines with organizers from adjacent disciplines to IT, and also workshops at the forefront of technology with industrial applications. Proposals that focus on establishing or strengthening new research themes in information theory, quantum computing, cryptography, AI, LLMs, and economics are particularly encouraged.

Workshops are expected to be one full day in length, although half-day and two-day proposals will also be considered. The workshop's format is determined by their organizers, who are encouraged to leave ample time to foster participant interaction. Workshops may include a mix of regular papers, invited presentations, keynotes, panels, poster sessions, open problem sessions, and sessions that encourage the participation of attendees in active discussions.

Proposal Submission

For instructions on proposal submission check the ISIT 2026 Guidance for Workshop Proposals.

Important dates for workshop submissions:

  • Application Open: Sep. 15, 2025
  • Submission deadline: Nov. 30, 2025, AoE (passed)
  • Acceptance notification: Dec. 15, 2025, AoE

Funding

ISIT 2025 is anticipating about $10k in funding for each full-day workshop. Funds can be used to support the attendance of participants from adjacent communities who do not normally attend the ISIT. Funds will not be allocated to subsidize travel for regular attendees of the ISIT. These funds can also be used to enrich the workshop in ways other than through travel funds such as best workshop paper awards. The allocation of such funds is subject to the approval of the ISIT workshop chairs.
